Located near in the town of Castalia, this through girder bridge crosses US-52.
Built in 1932, this bridge features a single through girder span, supported by timber pile piers and approached by trestle. It is unknown if this span was original to this location, although design details of the floor indicate it is likely original to this structure.
Little is currently known about the bridge, and more information is being sought on it.
Currently, the bridge is owned by Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern. Little alterations appear to have been made since the original construction of the bridge, other than updating of the substructures.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition.
